Town to Offer Warming Centers

Due to the prediction of extreme weather temperatures and conditions for the weekend, Hamden will offer warming centers located around the town to those who may be in need.

Hamden Rotary donates to Girl Scouts

  The Rotary Club of Hamden has donated $750 to  Girl Scouts of CT for programing aimed toward self-awareness and empowerment of young girls. Rotarian Betsy Gorman(Left) presented the check to Janeska Cardona of Girl Scouts of CT.

New Building Planned for West Woods School

HAMDEN – The Legislative Council recently approved bonding to replace West Woods School will a new building that will be located behind the current facility. In addition, Shephard Glen School will be renovated “as new.”

Ralph was born in New Haven on June 6, 1919, the son of the late Fabio and Mary Carbonelli DelVecchio. He worked for Universal Wire for many years and later for Orchard Lock Distributors until age 93. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #443.
