Town to Offer Warming Centers

Due to the prediction of extreme weather temperatures and conditions for the weekend, Hamden will offer warming centers located around the town to those who may be in need.

Hamden Rotary donates to Girl Scouts

  The Rotary Club of Hamden has donated $750 to  Girl Scouts of CT for programing aimed toward self-awareness and empowerment of young girls. Rotarian Betsy Gorman(Left) presented the check to Janeska Cardona of Girl Scouts of CT.

New Building Planned for West Woods School

HAMDEN – The Legislative Council recently approved bonding to replace West Woods School will a new building that will be located behind the current facility. In addition, Shephard Glen School will be renovated “as new.”

Oct. 19:

Sandra Maynard, 48, of 143 Henry St., Apt. B, New Haven, was charged with third-degree larceny and third-degree burglary. She was held in lieu of $25,000 bond and arraigned Nov. 2 in Meriden Superior Court.

Ezekiel Joel Baker, 20, of 29 Wellington Road, New Haven, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree strangling. He was held in lieu of $1,000 bond and arraigned the next day in Meriden Superior Court. … Continue Reading

Connie was born in New Haven on March 20, 1924, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Mary Padzinski Iassogna. Tieline Theater was founded by a group of Quinnipiac theater department alumni, Jess Otterbine, Julianne McGourty, and Michael Pray. Working closely with Drew Scott, Adjunct Professor of theater at Quinnipiac, this team has collaborated to perform two full-length productions thus far. The first was Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” which premiered at Quinnipiac in the summer of 2014. John was born on May 25, 1950 in New Haven to Margaret Laterza Tango and the late John Tango, Sr. John attended community college and was a Union Carpenter. He also worked as a sub-contractor for a number of years.
