Dr. Clarence B. Jones, political advisor, counsel, and former draft speechwriter for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., will be the keynote speaker at Fairfield University’s 2015 MLK, Jr. Convocation to be held at the Quick Center for the Arts on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at 7 p.m.

Dr. Jones is currently a visiting professor at the University of San Francisco and a scholar writer-in-residence at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Research & Education Institute at Stanford University. 1cel1Sacred Heart Academy faculty member Kathryn Gniadek has had an article published in the December 2014 issue of Liguorian magazine.

“Our Celestial Company” was selected as part of an emphasis on angels as God’s messengers in Christian History in the issue.

Mrs. Gniadek joined the mathematics department at Sacred Heart in 2002 and was named chair of the department in 2005. She earned a BS from Fairfield University and a MS from UConn. She serves as the Academy’s UCONN Early College Experience (ECE) site representative and as moderator of the Mu Alpha Theta, the National Math Honor Society. … Continue Reading
