She was the loving mother of Charles A. (Beth) Miller Jr. of Guilford, Phillip (Beverly) Miller of Hudson NH and Clayton Miller of Federal Way, WA., and the sister of John Forcinelli of Cheshire and the late Dolores Surato, Florinda DiGioia, Eleanor Vallencourt and Frank, Anthony, Joseph and Albert Forcinelli.

Phyllis was born in New Haven on June 4, 1927, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine Melillo Forcinelli. Prior to her retirement, Phyllis was a crossing guard for the City of New Haven. … Continue Reading

John was born in New Haven on Feb. 23, 1924, the son of the late Michael J. and Anna Costanzo Riccio and resided in Hamden all of his life. He was a printer for the Lee Printing Co, of Bristol for 35 years, retiring inm 1986, and was a World War II Navy Veteran.

He is survived by a brother, George P. Riccio of Dekald, ILL, nephews, Kent Keith of Hamden, David Keith of Clearwater, FL and Thomas Riccio of Colo. and a cousin Vincent & Catherine Pantera of Hamden. 1del1Salvatore J. Prisco, 93, of Hamden, formerly of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at the Hamden Healthcare Center.

Salvatore was born in New Haven on April 13, 1921, the son of the late Pasquale and Madeline Proto Prisco. He served his country faithfully in the US Army during World War II, having fought in the African Campaign and was a P.O.W.

He had worked as a printer for the Wilson H. Lee Company and was a wedding photographer back in the black & white photographing days. He also was an avid bowler, having bowled a perfect game in 1968, and liked to spend time in the garden.

He was the father of Donna DeLorenzo and the late Lynn and Patricia Prisco and the grandfather of Joe, Jr. and Amy DeLorenzo. He also was the brother of Christopher Prisco and was predeceased by his son-in-law Joey DeLorenzo. … Continue Reading

He was born on Nov. 12, 1932 in Bridgeport and grew up in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. John graduated from Northfield Mt. Hermon and from Amherst College in the class of 1955. He served in the U.S Army in Korea from 1956-1957.

John worked at the John Hancock Insurance Company for 25 years as the General Agent in charge of the Hamden office. He went on to own a successful Bailey Employment Agency and worked until retirement as a consultant at IMI in New Haven. He was a member and past President of the New Haven Country Club and a longtime board member and past President of the Easter Seals Goodwill Industries in New Haven. … Continue Reading
