The Hamden High School Parent-Teacher-Student Association will be holding two car wash fundraisers. The first is Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at McDonalds in the Hamden Mart. The rain date is Saturday, May 3.

The second carwash will take place Saturday, May 10 at across from McDonalds at Pep  Boys in front of Stop and Shop Plaza.

1del1Hamden’s 2014 Earth Day Celebration will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Hamden Middle School, located at 2623 Dixwell Ave. in Hamden.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced Tuesday that MTA Metro-North Railroad will run a special, extra New Haven Line train on Friday, March 28, to accommodate UConn men’s basketball fans expected to travel to New York City for the NCAA tournament at Madison Square Garden (MSG).

The train will depart New Haven at 4:15 p.m., make a stop in Bridgeport at 4:36 p.m. and arrive in Grand Central Terminal (GCT) at 6:00 p.m.  In addition, extra cars will be assigned, as available, to several trains departing New Haven between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., especially the 3:50 p.m. train from New Haven. … Continue Reading

A tea service with soda bread will be served to all museum visitors from 1-3 p.m.
