A Hamden man was among those recently honored at the VNA of South Central CT’s 110th Annual Meeting and Community Awards event held last week at Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven.
VNA Board Volunteer of the Year Award went to Hamden resident Anthony DiSalvo, who is the board chairman of the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority.
New Haven Mayor Toni Harp, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal and Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro spoke at the event and praised the services of the VNA of South Central CT. Blumenthal and DeLauro also presented citations from the US Senate and House of Representatives to all of the award recipients.

The Wallingford and Meriden train stations will be rebuilt as part of the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield (NHHS) Rail Program, according to Malloy. Berlin also will get a new station, and the entire line will be rebranded as the Hartford Line, according to the governor’s office.
